Laying the groundwork

Well, much has happened over the last few weeks.  At long last, we are joyful to report that the parking lot has been poured!!  Words and pictures cannot express the change to the look and feel of our church campus when dirt becomes paved.  Suddenly all the areas become more defined—planters, curbs, walkways—it all comes alive!!

As the parking lot is paved, so the inside of the tent is beginning to take shape as well.  As we are going to have a second level dedicated to long-term storage, the steel framing for that has been erected and soon the wood studs will go in, defining the bounds of each meeting space (and the two bathrooms inside!).

In the modulars behind, the drywall has been hung, mud and tape is being applied and the bathrooms are undergoing a remodel.  We anticipate that in the next couple weeks, the exterior of the modulars will be reskinned, transforming their appearance as well.

It feels good to get closer and closer to the finish line.  Please pray that it continues to go smoothly!!
